I tried to install Media Pack and found outafter several calls to MS, that vereion needed Pro installed first. I had 2 Pro packs, but had installed them on older machines and decided that I did not want to uninstall one of them at that point. I have taken my wincows DT off line and am no longer using it so I could do that, but Any way, in all of that, I got this upgrade that install the 8.

They said that they had activated it and everything was good to go. Widows was no mention of a trial version. However, in May I started getting the "activation is about to expire" message. Surprise, it reinstalled 8. After more discussions with the manufacturer, they sent me the discs to restore the recovery partition. I have just received them. However, I believe they are win 8. Before I call to get assistance to reset them, I would like to know if they are what I am already running or if what I have is the Trial Version that I tried to reset.

It came with windows 8. During a normal Windows Update it upgraded to Win 8. This turned out to be a trial version of 8. When I tried to reset the machine to the factory installed, windosw went back to the version in the title. I got this from the properties of ntoskrnl. Before I go through the nos of restoring the hidden partition, I'd like to know if this is the same trial version or a true upgraded version.
