Adobe Acrobat is the golden standard for a PDF toolkit. This is definitely not Adobe Acrobat. It does what I need it to do. I can compile several PDF's into a single document I use this on a PC computer that is running the most current version of Windows 10, and it works fine. The interface is a little weird and unfriendly, but once you figure it out, you get used to it like any other software application.
The installation of the software was a bit quirky. I downloaded and installed it, but when it got to the point where it asked for the serial number to finish the installation, it would not accept the serial number that was given to me in my Amazon Software library. So I installed the software as a day trial version. I chose "Enter Serial Number I copied the serial number out of my Amazon Software Library and pasted it into the Serial Number field in the software.
Then I clicked the "OK" button. That solved the serial number problem. I did not contact Corel's tech support line to solve this installation problem, so I can't rate their tech support.
But I will say this Problems like the one I had with installation simply do not happen with the "gold standard" software programs like Adobe Acrobat.
However, I can't afford the premium price of Adobe Acrobat. I paid a very reasonable price for the basic features of a PDF converter program. If you need something more robust, you probably need to look at a more robust solution. I hope that helps! January 3, I just upgraded my rating from three stars to four stars. I've been using this software for a few weeks now and it is very satisfactory! Nothing more but nothing less than what I need. I'm a fairly high-end user, and it meets my requirements.
I'd give it five stars, but the installation glitch would need to be fixed before I do that. Top critical review. Reviewed in the United States on April 16, That said I was laid off and needed a personal license for PDF use.
While unwilling to spend more for the known product, after reading the product details I settled for Corel's Fusion PDF. Big mistake. I was immediately made aware that the software is not only not user friendly, but also that - if it can do the things noted in the description - it's virtually impossible to utilize.
Being a digital install I didn't have much hope, but called Amazon to ask if it could be refunded. The answer was no, no problem, and they suggested that I contact Corel directly.
In doing so I was advised that I'd have to take the issue up with Amazon as it was a secondary vendor. Essentially I had no recourse. To then make matters worse, Corel opened up a tech support ticket asking what specifically I was having issues with on functionality.
Of course I thought to myself, 'thanks for completely disregarding my complaint, Corel rep, I really appreciate that The software isn't what it's chalked up to be and there simply isn't available support to voice such complaints.
While I would recommend my preferred software, all the same I'd advise spending a little more for a better product. Sort by. Top reviews Most recent Top reviews. Filter by. Please try again later. From the United States. This software is old. It isn't recommended for Windows The interface is clumsy. I'll admit I should have read the product description more closely, who would have thought that a Corel product would NOT convert. I cannot open the. Total waste of money. I wish I could receive a refund. Showing 0 comments. There was a problem loading comments right now. Corel PDF Fusion works, sort of.
I developed a work-around: 1 Take a snapshot of the PDF with fillable fields. It does not allow you to simply click on a text field and edit it. No, sirree Bob! You must select text fields for each blank that you wish to fill in. Unfortunately, many of the people who write these forms to fill in doctor's offices, etc. Saving it does not preserve what you typed in its proper place.
By that I mean that the bottoms of a lot of text entries are cut off, and this also falls under the "uneven look" problem. Printing from Corel is also a formidable problem, in that even if you save what you type, the printout can treat your document as if you did not type anything at all and I cannot explain further beyond that.
About Corel the company-- I tried to go on their site to complain, but they won't let you just register a complaint and leave it be for an answer. They want you to go through these hoops: one, create an account; two, register your product. The account creation more-or-less went off without a hitch, but the registration ran into a horrible roadblock.
They ask for your serial number: I found it on the envelope with the installation CD, and I put it in just as it came. Unfortunately, they say that the format is incorrect! This I do not understand, as I included all the dashes that the serial number had. I tried again, and they still insist "incorrect format. Unless I am missing something, this product does not work as advertised. You can only "correct selected text".
The editing is a rudimentary replace function. You select what you wish to replace. You can only select one line at a time. You then click an option on a menu, a window opens, and you type text in a field in the window. You click OK. That replaces the selected text. In other words, the editor is next to useless unless.
I wound not use this editor to create a document or do significant editing. Very disappointing. The conversion had enough flaws that it was unusable.
